Bridging semiconductor technology, power electronics, and team leadership — from quantum cascade lasers in Munich to large industrial projects in the Zürich area.

Dr.-Ing. Frederic Demmerle

I am an electrical engineer (Dr.-Ing.) and project manager living in Canton Zürich. Over the past decade, my work has centered on turning complex semiconductor and power-electronic technologies into reliable industrial and e-mobility solutions — leading engineering teams and international projects at ABB and Infineon Technologies.

Before moving into industry, I spent six years at the Walter Schottky Institut at Technical University of Munich (TUM) researching nonlinear quantum cascade lasers and terahertz photonics.

Outside of engineering leadership, I love spending time with my family, enjoying the Swiss mountains, and occasionally tinkering with Python and quantitative side projects.
